Time is a limited but invaluable resource that we can take for granted.
Taking time out for exercise, hobbies or relaxation is all well and good.
But chronic time-wasting can lead to a host of problems as follows:
● Missed opportunities - valuable chances for personal or professional growth can be lost
● Decreased productivity - hindering our ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
● Stress & anxiety - as work or deadlines pile up
● Strained relationships - others may grow frustrated with inability or unwillingness to fulfill commitments, leading to conflict
● Wasted potential - owing to a failure to perform activities or have a mindset that encourages positive self growth, which can result in regret down the line
● Reduced career prospects - after all, time is money in certain professional environments
● Stagnation - a sense of impotence and inability to move forward or progress
It is no exagerration to say that how a person chooses to deploys their time can direct the trajectory of their entire remaining life.
It is therefore important to see that long term time wasting can result in a person feeling like their feet are stuck in quicksand
By prioritizing goals, managing time prudently, and staying focused on what really matters to the individual, quality of life and self esteem can be greatly improved at the same time as reducing stress.
